What does Spirit charge for bags?

CARRY-ON BAGGAGE:


Although a personal item is admitted free of charge per passenger, the Spirit luggage charge for carry-on baggage costs $26-$55 based on if and where the fee is charged.


During booking:

  • Standard — $35 to $40


Through online check-in:

Size Restrictions:

The personal item should not exceed the dimensions 18 x 14 x 8 inches (45 x 35 x 20 cm) and should be able to fit under the seat on the flight.

The standard carry-on baggage should not exceed the dimensions 22 x 18 x 10 inches (56 x 46 x 25 cm) and should be able to fit under the seat or in the overhead bin of the flight.  


CHECKED BAGGAGE:

Any bag must adhere to 40 pounds (18.1 cm) of maximum weight and must conform to 62 inches (158 cm) of full linear size.

The estimates of many things, including routes, flight times, and the $9 Fare Club or default far is considered. Spirit charging up to 40lbs and 62′′ (L+W+H) is common for checking the first and second bags, and this varies from $21 to $65.


OVERSIZED AND OVERWEIGHT BAGGAGE:

Any bag that weighs more than 40 lbs. is considered overweight. In addition to all regular, excess, or over-sized baggage costs, the search fees for overweight baggage on Spirit are payable. The luggage price is $75 extra for a weight of 51-99 pounds. It is prohibited to reach 100 pounds or more.

Many bags of greater than 62 inches in weight, width, and height are categorized as overweight. In addition to regular, excess, or overweight charges, excess baggage charges shall be paid. An extra $100 will be paid for every 63"-80 "bag. A further $150 will be paid with luggage weighing greater than 80 "max.
